She was predeceased by: her parents, Bessie Lou Kinslow (Berry) and Bobbie Kinslow; her husband Bufford Johnston; her children, Debra Johnston Myers, Nina Johnston Green and Bradford Johnston (Melissa); her siblings, Ellen Kinslow Airehart (Melvin Leon) and William Kinslow (Malenda Faye); her grandchildren, Christina Pickering and Danny King; and her great grandchild Nevaeh Johnston.

She is survived by: her children, James (Becky Johnston), Charles Johnston (Susan Johnston), Malisa Johnston (James Smith) and Annie Johnston Lowry (John Lowry); and her grandchildren, Candi Johnston, Garland Green, Vanessa Pickering, Charles Dean Johnston (Susan), Tabitha Johnston, Chelsie Johnston, Misty Cox Johnston (Dylan), Cera, Jorden Valdez, Braden Fuentes (Liz), Cheyanne Johnston, Cereiti Johnston, Ashley Pittman (Chris), Patrick Pittman (Elizabeth), Nolan Edwards (Heather), David King (Miranda), Cody Lowry and Austin Lowry. She is also survived by 41 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
