She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel G. Shelton and Eula Shelton (Turner). She is survived by: her sons, Charles Thornton (Sherry) of Tulia and Jay Lynn Thornton of Tulia; her siblings, Calvin Shelton of Silverton and Martha Lou McJimpsey of Amarillo; her grandchildren, Christine (Pete Garcia), Dustin Thornton, Courtney Jo Thornton (Joel Corrales), Bailey Hicks, Jordan DeLeon and Dalton Thornton; and her pet Patches. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
