He was predeceased by : his parents, Jim Ramsey and Inez Cameron Ramsey; and his siblings, Dean Ramsey, Donnie Ramsey, Bill Ramsey, Pete Ramsey, Bobby Ramsey, Joan Graves, Faye Hill and Margaret Pierce.

He is survived by : his wife Beverly Hinshaw; his children, Ira Ramsey (Stephanie) of Denton, Eric Ramsey (Theresa) of St. Jo, Lavon Seay (Tommy) of Sanger and Brian Ramsey (Amy) of Crane; his sisters, Velma Poe of Richmond and LaRue George of Brownwood; and his half-sister Jeanette Chew of Voca. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Fry-Smith Funeral Home (502 Kent Ave, Tuscola, TX 79562).
