We are sad to announce that on August 31, 2018, at the age of 89, James Dean (Tye, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his sister Patsy Ruth; his granddaughter Tammy Hill; his brother Joe Dean; and his daughters, Lou Ann Brown (Art) of Ovalo and Sharla Holloway (Rusty) of Merkel.

He is survived by : his siblings, David Dean (Peggy) of Flagstaff, AZ and Betty Coker (Obie) of Merkel; and his sister-in-law Clara Dean of Andrews. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
