She was predeceased by : her parents, John Steele and Myrtle Steele; her husband Jay Johnson; her son Freddy Johnson; her grandchild Cherish Johnson; and her siblings, J. A. Steele, Tullis Steele, Melvin Steele and Ila Johnson.
She is survived by : her grandchildren, Sunshine Wycliff, Michael Johnson (J. J.), Erica Menera, Elisha Forsyth and Sarah Willis; and her nephew Robert Johnson. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
