It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Lynn Broughton in Tyler, Texas, born in Winters, Texas, who passed away on March 28, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hallie Penny Broughton and Finis Huffman Broughton; his sister Sara Broughton Pyle; and his son Lee Caddel "Buzz" Broughton. He is survived by: his close friend Susan Dessert; his brother Kenneth E. Broughton; his children, Cheryl Broughton (Angie Davis), Holly "Holly Bell" Lively, Nolan "Babe" Broughton and Gordon Lynn "Sunny" Broughton, Jr.; his grandchildren, Lynsey "Little Gardenia" Linderman (Russell), Hunter Lawrence and Lee Broughton (Haley); and also Blake Dessert. He is also survived by his four great-grandchildren.
