He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry D Medford and Mary Alice Martin (Medford); and his siblings, Janice Scroggins, Beverly Annette Medford, Ila Janette Harp and Charles Wayne Medford.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Medford; his sons, Fred Winston and Jason Medford; his sisters, Debra Faulk, Rhonda Ford and Lisa Medford; his brother-in-law DeWayne Ford; his grandchildren, Kayla Medford, Michael Medford and Abery Medford; and his great grandchildren, Lindsey Hensley, Brylie Hensley and Aubree Hensley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
