She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerold Layton and Gladys Layton; and her husband John E. Brickman (Tulsa). She is survived by: her sons, John Alan Brickman (Vicki) of Florida and Jerold Scott Brickman of Florida; her sister Diane Thurman; her grandchildren, Kaylie Bigham (Kody), Regan Davis (Adam) and Eli Brickman; and her nieces, Julie Gray and Joni Peters.
She was an original founding member of "Helping Because We Care", a non-profit organization that runs estate sales with the purpose of donating proceeds to support local low-income families.
