He was predeceased by: his stepfather Elwood Metz; his brother John Paul; and his granddaughter Ashley Williams. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Paul of Lindale; his children, Tina Hill (Tom) and Tonya Kruckenberg (Duane); his sister Myralynn Metz; and his grandchildren, Jheri Tschanz (Jonathan, Naomi Hopson), Moriah Thomas (James, Thomas Hill) and Joshua Combs. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and 7 great nieces.
