She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Nix; her parents, Eugene Neal and Louella Neal; and her siblings, Frank Neal, Arlin Neal, Ruth Rhodes and Yvonne Wright.
She is survived by: her siblings, Harold Neal (Bobbye), Bobbie Scott (Michael) and Linda McClellan (Tony). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beaty Funeral Home Chapel - Mineola (5320 TX-37, Mineola, TX 75773). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in honor of Nettie's caring spirit and dedication to helping others.
