He is survived by: his children, Dr. Chip Swinney (Kimberly) of Tyler and Janna Swinney Walker (Rex) of New Braunfels; his grandchildren, Dr. Trey Swinney (Melissa), Rex Swinney, Callie Walker Erk (Nathanael), Reynolds Walker and Charlotte Walker; his great grandchildren, Farrah, Sutton, Scarlett, Shiloh and Lily June; Joyce Swinney Cook of Grand Cane, Louisiana..
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stewart Family Funeral Home (7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy, Tyler, TX 75703). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at the Mason Cemetery.
