We bid farewell to Vicki Lynne Helkey of Universal City, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 23, 2025 at the age of 79. Vicki touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mervin Myers and Evelyn Myers; her husband John Helkey; and her sister Sherril Bierberly. She is survived by: her children, Scott Durham (Darlene), Chris Helkey, Brett Durham (Lourdes) and Heather Lewis; her grandchildren, Cory, Jared (Tori), Nathan, Colin, Christian, Heaven, Hayden and Logan; her great grandchildren, Alina and Rayla; her sibling's children, Chris Bierberly and Kara Maddox (Mike); and her brother-in-law Ken Bierberly.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Universal City United Methodist Church (90 Winn Ave, Universal City, TX 78148). A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Tunnels to Towers Foundation, and/or Universal City United Methodist Church.
