He is survived by : his wife Eloisa P. Hernandez; his daughter Margot Mata (Carlos) of Uvalde; his granddaughter Briana Andrea Mata of Uvalde; and his siblings, Minerva Gonzales of Uvalde and Alfredo Hernandez of Uvalde. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
