He was predeceased by: his parents, Dayse Elrod (Adams) and Dardus Elrod; his brother Will Elrod; and his granddaughter Makenna Elrod. He is survived by: his sons, Brandon Elrod of Uvalde and Casey Elrod of George West; his siblings, Lindy Elrod (Pat Phillips) of Brownwood, Jed Elrod (Susan) of Stockdale and Ben Elrod (Chris) of Uvalde; and his grandchildren, Gaige Elrod, Kayla Elrod, Kylie Elrod and Holden Elrod. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
