He was predeceased by : his parents, Guadalupe Caballero (Romero) and Francisco Caballero; his wife Irma Alicia Hurtado; his grandchildren, Liv Gallardo and Crissy Sweeten; his siblings, Amelia Torres, Francisco Caballero and Manuel Caballero; and his daughter-in-law Nancy Caballero.
He is survived by : his children, Dianna C. Franco (Rogelio) of Leander, Johnny Caballero (Gloria) of Uvalde, Oscar Caballero (Yolanda) of Red Rock, Armando Caballero (Noemi) of Uvalde and Alberto Caballero of Uvalde; his sisters, Guadalupe Salinas of Pharr and Irma Gonzales of Uvalde; and his close friend Diana Granados of Uvalde. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
