It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Louise Edwards of Vernon, Texas, born in Quanah, Texas, who passed away on October 29, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Cranford Elbert and Alta Bernice Byrd Scoggins; her husband John Edwards of Vernon; her sons, Casey Patterson of Hollis and Chris Hix of Boerne, Texas; and her siblings, Carl Scoggins, Elbert Scoggins of Quanah, Doug Scoggins of Goodlett, Helen Scoggins of Quanah, Connie Brown and Maxine Rhodes. She was also cherished by 4 grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
