She was predeceased by: her father Armando Gonzales; and her siblings, Alfredo Gonzales, Chelo "Connie" Keith, Dora Gomez and Mary Galvan Guana.

She is survived by: her husband Jose Martinez; her children, Louis G. Mendoza, III, Robert G. Mendoza (Brenda Lee), Ruben G. Mendoza and Mary Mendoza Licon; and her siblings, Amado Gonzales, Bobby Gonzales, Eddie Gonzales, Sylvester Galvan, Raymond Galvan, David Galvan, Elaine Gonzales, Hopie Gonzales and Maime Galvan. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
