She was predeceased by : her parents, Gregorio S. Hernandez and Maria Jimenez; her spouse Nazario B. Valderrama; her siblings, Jesus Hernandez, Jose Angel Hernandez and Mary S. Garza; and her grandson Dominique C. Rubio.

She is survived by : her children, Beverly J. Rubio (Rosendo) of Alvin, Phillip Valderrama (Cynthia) of Victoria, George Albert Valderrama of Corpus Christi and Stephen D. Valderrama (Lorrie) of Victoria; and her siblings, Simona Salazar, Lupita Castillo and George Hernandez Jr. (Betty). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Angel Lucy's Funeral Home - Main (706 E Crestwood Dr, Victoria, TX 77901). A rosary was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Angel Lucy's Funeral Home (706 E Crestwood Dr, Victoria, TX 77901). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 8:15 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (208 W River St, Victoria, TX 77901).
