He was predeceased by : his father Elliot Douglas Buffington. He is survived by : his wife Ruby Jean Buffington of Votaw, Texas; his mother Linda Gail Buffington of Votaw, Texas; his children, Robert Jeff Kirkland of Rye, Melvin Kirkland of Votaw, Texas, Nicona Buffington Nugent (Mark) of Votaw and Jessica Kirkland of Votaw, Texas; his siblings, Charles Douglas Buffington (Shannon) of Votaw, Texas and Lori Thompson (Larry) of Votaw, Texas; and his grandchildren, Kenzie Kirkland, Jacob Lirkland, Austin Collier, Madalynn Collier, Mark Nugent Jr., Abbie Nugent, Allie Nugent and Reagan Kirkland. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, family and a host of friends.
