He is survived by : his wife Dolores Requena of Waco; his son Gabriel Requena (Diane) of Waco; his grandsons, Matthew of Waco and Samuel Requena of Waco; his great grandchild Theresa Huerta of Elm Mott; his siblings, Robert Requena (Abigail) of Red Oak, Adam Requena (Christine) of Irving, Frank Requena (Rosie) of Dallas, Jessie Requena of Dallas, Martin (Yolanda) of Mesquite, Alicia Garcia (Andres) of Richland Hills, Susana Barron (Porfirio) of Dallas, Texas and Juanita Mendez (Rudolfo) of Dallas, Texas; and his brother-in-law George Rivera (Sharon) of Waco. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
