He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Shiflet and Inez Shiflet; his siblings, Grady, James Shiflet and Mabel Shiflet Hanson; his granddaughter Savana Shiflet; and his son Robert "Wayne" Shiflet.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Louise George Shiflet; his sons, Mark Shiflet (Sandra) of Huntsville, Texas and Justin Shiflet of Bryan, Texas; his grandchildren, Krystina Shiflet of Moore, Oklahoma, Austin Shiflet of Spring, Bryson Shiflet (Caroline) of Conroe, Casen Shiflet of Conroe and Liam Shiflet of Huntsville, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Hailey Hyde, Kylie Hyde, Carlee Patterson, Rayne Shiflet and Isaias Gomez.
