We are sad to announce that on July 19, 2023, at the age of 87, Rufus R. Tovar Jr. of Waco, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Tovar Sr. and Benita Reyes Tovar; and his siblings, Lupe Tovar, John Tovar, Mary Garcia, Sam Tovar and Felix Tovar.

He is survived by: his wife Faye Tovar; his children, Rose DeLeon (Andrew), Linda Alvarez, Steve Tovar (Judy), Christina Vargas (Hector) and Theresa Salinas (Jimmy); and his sister Andrea Ledesma. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; along with his siblings, nieces, and nephews.
