She was predeceased by: her parents, John Carter and Verna Mae Dinkins; her husband Calvin Smith; her daughter Laura Smith; and her siblings, Dalton Carter, John Carter, Robert Carter, Mary Henderson and Irene Parker.
She is survived by: her son Jimmy Smith (Bobbi); her granddaughters, Julie Coursey (Bobby), Sarah Duke (Justin) and Catherine Robinson; and her great grandchildren, Payton Coursey, Taylor Coursey, Hannah Robinson and Gavin Duke (Hefzi). She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Canon Funeral Home (1420 Farr St, Waller, TX 77484). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Macedonia Cemetery.
