He is survived by : his nephew Randall Dyess; his wife Evelyn Cooke; his children, Larry Cooke (Donna), Angie Rager (Danny) and Christie Novikoff (Lee); his grandchildren, Jeff Cooke (Linda), Casey Cooke (Rachel), Chelsea Cooney (Chad), Carrie Cooke, Matt Cooke, Daniel Rager (Emily), Amanda Rager, Joe Michiel, Evan and Lily Capshaw; his great grandchildren, Colby, Kyle and Carter; his grandchildren, Ethan, Logan, Avery, Jack, Henry, Skyler, Liam, Mason, Wyatt, Elliot, Evelyn (Evee) and Royce; his siblings, Wendell Cooke (Marva) and LaRue Dyess; and his brother-in-law Donald Patman.
