The passing of Dan Ed Morton (Waxahachie, Texas) leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 9, 2025 at the age of 81. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Groner Truett Morton and Edwina Graves Morton; his grandparents, Daniel Miller Morton, Mary Jane Barton Morton, Cupid Edwin Graves and Myrtle Ferrar Graves; his son William Robert "Roby" Morton; and his sister Susan Morton Calvert.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Morton Jr. (Gwenean Threadgill Morton) and Heidi Morton-Pigg (Von Pigg); his grandchildren, Luke Morton, Rylie Morton Priebe (Max), Abbie Morton, Shelby Smith and Macie Morton; and his brother G. T. Morton (Kathy Todd Morton). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Waxahachie Civic Center (2000 Civic Center Ln, Waxahachie, TX 75165). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hillcrest Burial Park (2425 US-287, Waxahachie, TX 75165).
Donations may also be made to the First United Methodist Building Fund. Contributions to the Nicholas P. Sims Library are also welcomed.
