Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved John Edward Hodge of Waxahachie, Texas, born in Dallas, Texas, who passed away at the age of 85, on April 2, 2024. He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward D. Hodge and Ellie Mae Hodge; his siblings, Rosmary Brackenridge and Raymond Hodge; and his great grandchild Megan Slade.

He is survived by : his wife Gloria Hodge; his sister Linda Campbell; and his daughters, Karen Smith (Max) and Donna Averitt (Todd).

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cowboy Church of Ellis County (2374 US-287, Waxahachie, TX 75165). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Laurel Land Memorial Park.
