She was predeceased by: her parents, Elva Triplett (Allumbaugh) and John Triplett; her husband Clyde Lainer; her son John Lanier; her son-in-law Don Childress; her grandson Christopher Lanier; and her stepgrandchildren, Obra Foster III and Mernika Cofer.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Lanier Childress and Brian Lanier (Rechelle). She is also survived by six grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
