Summer Nicole Cantrell Obituary

Summer Nicole Cantrell went to Heaven, July 16, 2025 to be with Jesus. Born October 16, 1999, she was a life long resident of Waxahachie. Summer was honored to be the 2006 Crape Myrtle Princess and graduated Waxahachie High School in 2019.

Summer brought joy to everyone who knew her.

She fulfilled her wish of visiting Disney World, and enjoyed a Disney Cruise. Summer found joy in car rides, taking trips with her family, shopping, listening to music and could often be found watching cooking shows. Most of all, Summer was treasured by her family, to who she brought immense joy.

A faith-filled Believer, Summer attended Maypearl Methodist Church.

She is survived by her mother Candyce Cantrell, family, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Children's Hospital in Summer's honor.

“Summer came into my life when I worked at Children's Medical Center(that's what it was called then). I had the pleasure of taking care of her as a Respiratory Therapits. I had the enjoyment of getting to know Candace and Diane. Summer's mom Candace and grandmother Diane will always have a very special and loving place in my heart. They were very dedicated to Summer and I admire them so much! Summer, please put in a good word for me while you are with Jesus until I see you again ✝️💖 - Chris W.”
