He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Brenning and Thelma Brenning; and his brother-in-law Billy Tibbetts. He is survived by : his wife Karon Brenning; his sons, Shawn Brenning (April) and Page Brenning (Micah); his granddaughters, Shannon Brenning and Mandy Grant; his great grandchildren, Aurora, Huntley, Arlo and Josie; and his sisters, Sandy Tibbetts and Jill Wreyford (Stan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel (913 N Elm St, Weatherford, TX 76086). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the North Side Baptist Church (910 N Main St, Weatherford, TX 76086).
