With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cristina Vela Acosta of Wellington, Texas, born in Mission, Texas, who passed away on December 9, 2022 at the age of 40. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She is survived by : her parents, Rogelio Vela and Juana Reyes Vela; her close friend Epitacio Salas; her children, Israel Acosta, Jr. and Ava Acosta; and her siblings, Roy Vela, Jr. (Anna), Moy Vela (Wendy) and Mari Lee Vela (Nick Derr).
