Lupita Cano Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 10, 2025, at the age of 76, Lupita Cano of Weslaco, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Guadalupe Diaz and Jose Diaz; her daughter Suzy Cano; and her siblings, Juan Diaz Sr., Eulijo Diaz Sr., Richard Diaz Sr., Pedro Diaz and Francis Nuñez.

She is survived by: her husband Fred Cano; her children, Fred Cano (Kelli) and Annette Cano Vasquez; her grandchildren, Andrew Vasquez, Adam Vasquez, Emily Cano and Absidy Cano; her siblings, Jose L. Diaz, Stella D. Gomez, Teresa Diaz and Patty Diaz; and her siblings-in-law, Lupe Diaz, Anita Diaz, Nora Diaz, Rosie Diaz, Janielle Diaz and Max Nuñez. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Et McCaleb Funeral Home (900 W 4th St, Weslaco, TX 78596). A rosary was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Et San Martin de Porres Catholic Church (901 Texas Blvd N, Weslaco, TX 78596).
