It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Manuel Sloss Jr. (Pharr, Texas), born in San Juan, Texas, who passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Soila L. Sloss and Manuel Sloss, Sr.; and his siblings, Armando Sloss, David Sloss, Elia Sloss and Aida Sloss Bravo.
He is survived by: his wife Ofelia Alanis Sloss; his sons, James Michael Sloss (Ruth) and Brian Matthew Sloss (Heather); his granddaughter Mikeala Ann; and his siblings, Romeo Sloss (Teresa), Yolanda Sloss Salinas (Jose Carlos), Diana Sloss, Criselda Sloss Borjas (Paulo Antonio) and Margot Iris Sloss.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Funeraria Del Angel Palm Valley (4607 N Sugar Rd, Pharr, TX 78577). A rosary will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish (216 W 1st St, San Juan, TX 78589).
