He was predeceased by : his wife Jennifer Hernandez; his grandfather Jesus Martinez; his granddaughter Aubrey Grace Hernandez; and his nephews, Jonathan Sanchez and Stephen Jude Perez.

He is survived by : his sons, Bryan Hernandez of Rosharon, TX, Jacob Perez of Rosharon, TX and Zachary Perez of Rosharon, TX; his parents, Eduardo Velasquez and Dilia Velasquez of Harlingen, TX; his siblings, Esteban Perez (Sonia) of Weslaco, TX and Elaine Lopez (Daniel) of Combs, TX; his grandmother Maria B. Martinez of Weslaco, TX; and his nieces and nephews, Kaz Ra Martinez (Yuri), Kinjo Martinez, Daniel Lopez, Jasper Blu Martinez, Jalen Torres, Sha'uri Martinez and Jamie Muñiz. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
