He is survived by : his wife Jeannie Wells; his children, Kimberly Ann Stevenson (Mark), Timothy Lynn Wells (Kim) and Jerrod Steven Wells; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Stevenson, Taylor Van Stevenson, Madison Wells, Myriah Alexis Wells and Jerrod Steven Wells; and his brothers, Garland Edwin Wells, Jr. (Nelva) and Dennis Evan Wells (Janet).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the C. T. Baker & Sons Funeral Home - West Columbia (634 S Columbia Dr, West Columbia, TX 77486). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at the Rest Cemetery (1020 Sinclair St, West Columbia, TX 77486).
