He is survived by: his children, Jacqueline Hernandez of Wharton, Bonnie Garza of Houston and John Garcia (Lori) of Wharton; his siblings, Maria Elam (Randy) of Wharton, Maria Llanes (Chris) of Wharton, Lionel Garcia (Josie) of Wharton, Luis Garcia of Glen Flora and Jesus Garcia of Glen Flora; his sisters-in-law, Aurora Garcia of Wharton, Angie Garcia of Glen Flora and Helen Garcia of Rosenberg; his grandchildren, Noah Asher Garcia, Alyson Alaniz and John Garza; and his great grandchildren, Madyson Gonzales, Avery Garza, Mario Jr. Alaniz, Christopher Gonzales and Sophia Alaniz.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Wharton Funeral Home (515 E Boling Hwy, Wharton, TX 77488). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church (515 E Boling Hwy, Wharton, TX 77488). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (3511 E Alabama Rd, Wharton, TX 77488).
