Margaret Adella Zahn Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Adella Zahn of Wharton, Texas, who passed away on November 6, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Zahn Jr. and Frances Pilcik Zahn; her siblings, Raymond Zahn, Ludy Zahn, Vlasta Zahn Krenek and Martha Zahn O'Dowd; her brothers-in-law, George Krenek Jr. and John E. O'Dowd Jr.; and her niece Elizabeth Krenek Koch.
She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Elsie Eggemeyer Zahn and Agnes Sulak Zahn; her sibling's children, Mary Lou Krenek, Richard Koch, Tim Krenek (Phyllis), Gerard Krenek (Theresa), Mark Krenek, Thomas Zahn (Jan), Agnes O'Dowd Faucheux, John Kevin O'Dowd, Sue O'Dowd Baudry, Richard Zahn (Susan) and David Zahn (Michelle); and her great-nephews, Thomas Zahn, Richard Zahn, Matt Zahn, Jonathan Krenek, Travis Krenek, John Baudry, Dr. Tyler Stewart and David Zahn. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and now great-great nieces and nephews are being added to her large family.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (101 Church St, Hungerford, TX 77448). A rosary was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery (101 Church St, Hungerford, TX 77448).
Memorials and Masses can be given to St John's Catholic Church, the Wharton Pilot Club, and the American Cancer Society since she was a cancer survivor for many years.
