It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Audrey Wellborn Ashley of Wichita Falls, Texas, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on March 10, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances L. Wellborn (Dillard) and William T. Wellborn Sr.; and her siblings, Col. Ella Wellborn Herold and William T. Wellborn Jr. (late Louis Ashley). She is survived by: her husband Louis Ashley; her sons, Louis Ashley (Sonny) and Sonny Ashley (Shelia); her sister Wanda James; her granddaughter Summer Varcardipone (Steve); her nephews, Donald James and Billy Wellborn (Debbie); and her great grandchild Paxton Varcardipone.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Parkey, the staff of the Presbyterian Manor Healthcare, and Hospice for the excellent care and compassion given to Mom and requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Presbyterian Good Samaritan Fund.
