He was predeceased by: his parents, Zaidee Gowan (McKinney) and William Edd Gowan. He is survived by: his wife Joan Osborn Gowan; his brother Tom Gowan; his daughters, Cristi Wilson and Joanna Rettenmaier; his sons-in-law, Greg Wilson and Andy Rettenmaier; his granddaughters, Sara Wilson and Emme Rettenmaier; and his cousins, Mike McKinney and Betsy McKinney Bechtold.
