She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady and Teresa; and her grandmother Whittington (Jim Shepley). She is survived by: her children, Michael Shepley (Dawn) and Tara Wilson (Joey); her brother Roger Whittington (Judy); and her grandchildren, Brandon, Devin, Nathan Wilson, Kimberly Breurer and Deanna Blanco. She is also survived by her nephews, nieces, and close friends.
After returning home she worked for The State Of Texas Workforce Commission helping people find jobs and also donated her time teaching "Job skill classes" for women in the Wichita Falls community.
