With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Elwin Thaxton of Wichita Falls, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 9, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Thaxton and Dixie Thaxton; and his sister Faye. He is survived by: his close friend Lynn Tunnell; his children, Amy Neely of Yukon Oklahoma and Jason Thaxton (Cindy) of Edmond Oklahoma; his brother Tom Thaxton (Jan) of The Woodlands; his grandchildren, Austin Neely, Carson Lawrence (Chad), Cole and Cooper Thaxton; his great grandchild Austin Chappel; his pet Minnie; and also, Megan Lucas (Tim), Aria and Lake Lucas.
