He is survived by : his wife Julia; his children, Taylor, Kamryn and Emily; his grandmother Asako Carroll of Albuquerque; his parents, John Mitchell and June Mitchell of Eagle River; and his siblings, Christopher Mitchell (Anne) of Maple Grove, MN, Sarah Mazzini (Rob) and Jennifer Mitchell (Jared) of Eagle River, AK.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
