With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mabel Lavern Petty of Wichita Falls, Texas, who passed away on April 15, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Trannie F. Nix and Lorene Nix (Rushing); her siblings, James Loyd Nix (Buddy), Nadine Pruett and Lonnie Doyle Nix (Deedee); and her siblings-in-law, Brenda Nix and Ronald Stringer.
She is survived by: her nephew Robert Nix; her husband Carl Petty (Butch); her sons, Carl Wayne Petty (Lil Butch) and Jason Brian Petty; her grandchildren, Lawrence Brian Petty Holder and Jasana Tucker; and her siblings, Bobby Nix (Linda), Dale Nix, Jonathan Nix and Joyce Stringer.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls 4909 Johnson Rd, Wichita Falls, Texas 76310.
