We bid farewell to Tammy Byrd (Wichita Falls, Texas), born in Crowell, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 26, 2025 at the age of 78. Tammy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Sillemon and Ethel Mae Sillemon; her grandson Marcus Byrd; and her siblings, Lucy Ann McGee, Wallace "Toot" Sillemon, Billy James, Jessie James, Shirley Jean Curtis, Wilma Jean Coleman, Annie Thomas, Ethel Bee Cooper and Elizabeth Swearengin.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Byrd (Carla), Gwendalyn Byrd, Pam Byrd, Kelly Byrd (Gwen), Benji Byrd (Patricia) and Phillip Byrd (Danessa); her siblings, Marvin Sillemon, Eva Mae Neal, Joyce Pearson and Abby Gail Casey (Jimmy); and her friend Irma. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ainsworth & Young Funeral Home (822 Roosevelt St, Wichita Falls, TX 76301). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church (809 Harding St, Wichita Falls, TX 76301).
