He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Ewalt and Effie L. Ewalt (McCurdy); his stepmother Stella Williams Ewalt (McCurdy); his sister Dorothy Faulkner; his brother-in-law Clifford Faulkner; his brother Adolphus Ewalt; his former wife Dortha Jane Ewalt (Smith); his stepbrother Leon Williams; his former wife Polly Williams (Kruska); and his brother-in-law Tom Burr Neighbors.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda P. Ewalt (Sturgis); his children, Richard A. Ewalt of Norman, Oklahoma and Donna; his son-in-law Bill Mansur of Wichita Falls; his daughter Linda; his son-in-law Roy A. Stamps III (Trey) of Grapevine, Texas; his sister Ruby Neighbors of Granite, Oklahoma; his stepsister Charlese Williams Cothrum (Roberts) of Altus, Oklahoma; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Mansur Davenport (Kyle), Jonathan Mansur (Alyson), Kristen Mansur McCleskey (Joshua), Turner Stamps and Melia Stamps. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, or the Oklahoma University Foundation.
