We bid farewell to Rosa Ann Josey of Willis, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 28, 2025 at the age of 88. Rosa Ann touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Marvin and Wavie Estelle Kennedy (Mitchell); her husband Bobby Josey; and her siblings, William Harold, Vanessa Jane, John Mitchell and Dewey Edward "Buddy".

She is survived by: her son John (Brenda); her grandsons, Zach and Garrett; and her children, Bobby (Vicki) and Taryn. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM at the Longmire Road Church of Christ (200 Longmire Rd, Conroe, TX 77304). A burial was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Smith Memorial Park (10129 FM 1097, Willis, TX 77318). A reception was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home - Willis (10129 FM 1097, Willis, TX 77318).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Tipton Children's Home, 1000 N. Broadway St., Tipton, OK 73570, or to New Danville, a community for special needs adults at newdanville.org or 10951 Shepard Hill Rd., Willis, TX 77318.

“Rosa was the dean of curriculum at Aldine High School when I knew her. She was treasured by the faculty because she listened when we came into her office, generally to complain, but not always. She respected her faculty's opinions even when they were often unrealistic. She crushed no teacher's dream. I never imagined her age was such as it was. She always seemed youthful and energetic. My deepest sympathy to her family. Rosa enhanced my teaching career with her mentoring.”
