He was predeceased by : his parents, Travis Potts and Hazel Potts; and his wife Rebecca Ann Forrest. He is survived by : his sons, Steven Elmo Potts (Sabrenia) of Weatherford and J. Lee Potts of Wylie; his sister-in-law Alene Forrest of Woodson; his brother Danny Potts (Janette Potts) of Taylor; and his grandchildren, Sierra Potts, Shileigh Kitna (Jordon), Kinsey Potts and Evan Potts.

Memorial donations in Poppy's name can be made to the Building Fund of First Christian Church in Woodson or to the Woodson Community Center Fund.
