She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Abney and Ruby Alice Luther Long; her former husband Marvin Glenn Coward; her husband Billy Mack "Bill" Miller; her son Glenn Hamilton Coward; her granddaughter Laura Ann Carter; and her sisters, Alice Naomi Haynes, Emma Kathleen Mashaw and Bertha Estelle Sanders.
She is survived by: her daughter Beverly Carter of Woodville; her sister Grace Earlene Sanders of Huntington; her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Read Coward of Lampasas; her stepson Jim Miller (Cindy) of Cypress; her grandchildren, Jennifer Shirley (Michael) of The Woodlands, Bret Coward (Mindy) of Lampasas, Sara Dorris (Chris) of Bixby, OK, Adam Coward (Jacky) of Spring and Reagan Carter of The Woodlands; her stepgrandchildren, Stacey Robertson of Sweeny and Micah Miller (Sybianna) of Houston; and her great grandchildren, Ryan Carter, Kate Dorris, Molly Dorris, Jack Dorris, Sam Dorris, Luke Dorris, Casey Mitchell, Tyler Mitchell, Makenzie Mitchell, Ledger Coward, Caroline Shirley, Cayson Whitt, Caitlin Cargill, Masen Robertson, Ronin Miller and Thurman Miller.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home (113 W Holly St, Woodville, TX 75979). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at the Antioch Cemetery.
