With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leo Brochtrup of Woodville, Texas, who passed away on July 13, 2025 at the age of 74. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Leo Brochtrup to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo, Sr. Sullivan (Lois Brochtrup) and Tesa Sullivan; and his sister Mary Huezo. He is survived by: his wife Frances Louise Brochtrup of Woodville; his children, Erin Mills (David) of Fredericksburg, Brooke Lyles (Philip) of Conroe, Dane Brochtrup of College Station, Clint Brochtrup (Eryn) of College Station and Adam Brochtrup (Lindsay) of Salado; his stepchildren, Denisha Swearingen of Georgetown, Olivia Swearingen of Nacogdoches, Bonnie Vardeman (Colby) of Lufkin, Deirdre Carroll of Austin and Dayton Swearingen of San Antonio; and his grandchildren, Gabriel, Kinley, Claire, Samuel Brochtrup, Lainey Lyles, Margaret, Henry and Leo Brochtrup.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel (113 W Holly St, Woodville, TX 75979). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church (1601 Pine St, Woodville, TX 75979). A graveside service was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at the Campground Cemetery (295 Co Rd 2075, Woodville, TX 75979).
Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church and M. D. Anderson Hospital.
