He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Simmons Ricks and Leola Bossier Ricks; and his brothers, Cecil Ricks, Jr. and Haywood Ricks. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hart Ricks; his children, Alyssa DeVillier of The Woodlands and Derek Ricks (Cheral) of Wynnewood, Oklahoma; his granddaughter Peyton Carlton; his great grandchildren, Rowan Baggett and Sutton Carlton of Woodville; his granddaughter Brittany Hay; and his great grandchildren, Alanis and Makari Cherry.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Riley Funeral Home (913 US-190, Woodville, TX 75979). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Riley's Funeral Home (913 US-190, Woodville, TX 75979).
