He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Mooney and Avelene Goss Mooney; and his sisters, Catherine Tate, Wilma Vaughn, Ruby Martin, Thelma Mooney and Dorothy Reed.
He is survived by: his children, Aron Mooney and Sandra Roland; and his sisters, Margie Green and Martha Hartsfield. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
